These terms are the agreement between you and Elite Games Club ("we", "us"). By creating an account or playing on this website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
The service
Elite Games Club lets you play card games online with other people and with computer players ("bots"). It is free to use. It is a game of skill and chance played for fun only: no money, prizes or anything of value can be staked, won or lost here.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you should have the permission of a parent or guardian.
Your account
- Give accurate details when you register, and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer it.
- Your username, display name and picture are shown to other players. Choose ones that are not offensive, do not pretend to be someone else, and do not give away private information.
Fair play and behaviour
When you use the website you must not:
- cheat, including by sharing your cards with another player outside the game, using more than one account at a table, or using software that plays for you or gives you an unfair advantage;
- deliberately spoil games, for example by repeatedly leaving tables or stalling;
- use a name or picture that is abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening or unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- harass, bully or threaten other players;
- try to break into, overload, copy or interfere with the website or its servers, or collect other players' information;
- use the website for anything unlawful.
What we may do
We may remove a name or picture, end a table, suspend or close an account, or refuse access, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or that it is needed to protect the website or its players. Where it is practical we will tell you why.
You may stop using the website at any time and may ask us to delete your account.
Game records
Finished games, scores, statistics, ratings and leaderboard positions are kept and can be seen by other players. We may correct or reset them, for example after an error or cheating.
Our content
The website, its software, design, text and images belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may use the website to play for your own enjoyment. You may not copy, modify, resell or build a competing service from it.
By uploading a picture you confirm that you are allowed to use it, and you give us permission to store and display it as part of the service.
Availability
We try to keep the website running well, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of faults, or that games, statistics or accounts will never be lost. We may change, pause or withdraw any part of it, and update it without notice.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
Subject to that, the website is provided free of charge and "as is". We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for anything caused by events outside our reasonable control, by your device or connection, or by other players.
Privacy
Our Privacy policy and Cookie policy explain how we use your information.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will say so on the website. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in the courts there.
